MUBI Design Development

Continuing designing a poster and developing ways to create a listings pamphlet/poster. Continuing with the black and white image aesthetic whilst incorporating MUBI's brand colour. The development saw the concept grow to larger posters, thinking of billboard posters and street advertising, large bold ways to distribute the promotion campaign. The movies which would feature upon the billboards would be the ones which have been awarded 5stars on MUBI, the highest rated and hugely successful movies. Using titles such as 'The God Father", "The last tango in Paris", "Leon: The Professional', 'Fantastic Mr Fox' and 'Kill Bill: Vol One" these huge movie titles would attract a range of people to try MUBI. The black and white image concept has been continuous throughout the project so that a branding and recognisability can be achieved. The white type which has been placed on the images is Helvetica Bold (a MUBI requirement), this is where issues arise, the images sometimes do not accommodate the type and it can become unreadable, ways to make this work should be looked at. The large listing poster was a concept for a street poster, which would be placed on bus stop shelters and poster boards, though the images would be too small and the posters would look messy and unclear, the listings should take a smaller publication style form.
