Continuing manipulating images related to the case, the designs changed completely and went into a cleaner, simpler style to ones previous. Continuing to collage but at a very minimal form just using the one section of the cut-up imagery, creating the styles above, again continuing to experiment with type but now trying out san serif styles as well as still using serif typefaces such as Bodoni. These styles though visually clean and easily understood did not fully put across the tone of the book, the eeriness of the early designs had been lost in a cleaner more modern style which though worked, did not give the same feel as the others.
Trying to combine both styles which had been looked at before seemed difficult, wanting to keep the images the centre-piece yet being held back by how to layout the images out and which typefaces to use. The biggest issue was white space of the cover and if it should be utilised which led to this large type style which surrounded the image of the Clutter House. Again these designs were to clean and even the use of red colour seemed to be to trying and the tone of voice seemed forced.
Going back to the hand made developments and using the images which were used in them but in the style of the digital developments worked very well the eeriness of the missing faces gives a sense of mystery and the type sitting over them accentuates the image through its boldness. Continuing to use the house image, considering the back cover this time. This design was a good balance of the designs so far yet still seemed to clean for the content of the novel it was to white and needed to be darker to fit the aesthetic and the legend of the book.
