This full bleed image is from the police report from the Clutter case, it is the driveway leading the Clutter farm and where the two suspects made their escape leaving a tire mark which was used as evidence, the image alone is eerie and creepy with the trees arching over blocking out light, this instantly resonates with the theme of the book and is a clear choice to use, especially when manipulated with other images like can be seen left using the house again to over accentuate the scene of the murders. Again the type within this cover feels weak and does not work well with the imagery. The collage adds depth to the cover yet the house gets lost a bit within the other image, there is no textural difference between them. It will be more beneficial and visually pleasing if there was more texture going on, this would add more gloom to the cover.

New concept = screen print the Clutter drive way using a half tone style and then collage with the house so it stands out more, the type needs to be corrected to fit with this new style, which will work better with a serif font (BASKERVILLE)
