Mubi Past Branding - Initial Research

Mubi commisioned ad agency BBH/ZAG to design a new ad campaign for their site back in 2015, using bold, bright, imagery shot by photographer Jason Evans that looks to encapsulate the range of emotions which films can make people feel. This alongside bright, abstract imagery creates a bright eye catching ad campaign. Though the image of MUBI seems to have changed a lot in two the two years since this ad campaign was first released, they still give influence to be playful, especially with the type content, it can be fun and playful. The colour scheme will not permit the use of such bright colours as in this campaign as they have limited it to two colours though the images can hold some key colours to make it eye catching. There is a continuous running theme throughout these posters also which makes them work as a set and creates a visual identity which people would recognise to be MUBI.
