For the layout and style of the on screen application, styles which were already popular and globally used can be found in 'Finder' on a mac book where the options for viewing content are clear and most used, Icons, List, Columns and Cover Flow. These ways of working give multiple choice for the users preference and offer a better user experience, allowing the user more control on how they view the content of a page and how they personalise the workspace they are using. 'Finder' can be over complicated with the amount of information that is shown about each file, such as size and platform of file, on the proposed 'Google Bookmark' app there will be the option to view more information about the website, article, image or video but on the face of the file it will just be the website name, for a website saved onto the app, the web name, title and publisher of the article saved.
The face view of the web page for Bookmarks has to be simple and clear with the images playing a strong part as one of the issues with the current bookmark service by google is all type, and has no real structure at all, the issue being that just working from the title of an article is very difficult, an image would jog the memory and remind the user of why it is saved. Without structure and imagery the user would struggle to find and remember what certain bookmarks are, with the new version it is key to keep it clear, easily structured and easily navigated to.
