brief draft to be looked at and improved on

Problem. Objective. Aim.

Google chrome is the most used browser in the world and currently has a vast range of tools, add ons and plug ins to improve the user experience. The most successful of these tools are Gmail, Google Drive and Calendar. Looking at the other tools on offer it is clear that important browser tools are not up to the current standard Google works to and are hidden away and unused. The main one being Book marks for Google, it is not found with the rest of the tools which are on the browser home page, but hidden away in the ‘Even More’ section of google tools, it also requires the user to install it, while you can use the star and book mark tool on the settings part of the browser this is unclear, bulky and very irritating to use while also jumbling up all bookmarks which are saved. The aim is to redesign and bring to life the bookmark tool on Google chrome for both Phone and Computer design, giving it a page to itself and an easy to understand, and visually engaging interface which is simple to access, keeping googles style and ethos but also giving the book marks page a unique look.

Target Audience.

The target audience is people who use Google chrome, and those who save pages to bookmarks to look back on them at a later date.

Requirements.

Thorough research into bookmark pages, rival browsers bookmark pages and a thorough research into clear easy to use interface pages. A series of design ideas all of which are considered and are backed up by the research. A easy to use, yet engaging and organised interface (Phone/Comp) for google chrome book marks.

Deliverables.

Hand drawn development ideas, a range of digital mock ups, a final mock up of the interface for screen. 4+ Design Boards and an evaluation of the design.
