The projects freedom allowed the theme of work to be open, with it being the opportunity for artists and designers to showcase work in one of the most popular independent venues in the north of England. The brief was an opportunity to explore my own practice and interests in different ways.
Considering subject topics which could influence the outcome, I felt this was a great project to revisit the Dada art movement, the focus point of my dissertation and context of practice module. Having looked at the movement contextually, this project was to explore the practical and artistic side of the movement to then produce art work that represents my practice, interests and the Dada style which has influenced my practice.
