Study task-
I Looked at grid systems used in news papers and magazines, looking at the ways which the would set out each page. I did this task which helped me realise the importance of a structured grid layout in a news paper and what it is used for. The news paper has to be consistent in its use of a grid, the task showed me that the grid I found on this page of The Guardian news paper can be used on other pages within the news paper. The Guardian use a tight grid based around images and keep text small and concise while remaining legible and easy to read.
